Why I chose a Bachelor of Arts...
I love performing, but I knew I wanted to have my hands in more than just the on-stage aspect of theatre, and a B.A. allowed me to do just that. I used my electives to take stage management, costuming, and design courses. I minored in Educational Studies, which combined my love for working with kids that I gained from years of summer camp with my love for the arts. As an Honors Program student, I was also able to stage a reading of my play, "Not Your Mother's Motherhood" as my Culminating Honors Thesis Project.
My dream performance jobs would involve...
-
performing as a princess
-
leading a musical television series
-
originating a role in a new musical
-
refreshing and bringing my own experiences and expression to iconic, well-known roles (even those that may be considered antiquated)
-
combining my passions for piano or choral music with musical theatre.
